Is there a lot of impact on dust removal via cleantec vacum compared the 3M Hookiy sandpaper, having only 9 holes matching the 150 Festool pad compared with the Carat sandpaper

Extraction might not be as efficient but it should still work very well. If you're really interested in the 3M product and concerned about suction efficiency, consider the mesh 3M Cubitron Xtract abrasives. But do get the Protection Pad to use between the mesh and sanding pad of your sander. It will save you money from having to prematurely replace the sanding pad.

I still have the older Festool abrasive discs with the FAR fewer holes and cut-outs in them, various obsolete versions like Brilliant 2 and others. Dust Collection is just fine with them. You'll be fine. When I compare them to my new style discs, usually all Granat, there 'probably' is a difference that if I took the time to measure out, I'd see. But roughly speaking, old and new discs, with the sander attached to a Vac, all work SO MUCH better than NO Vacuum attached

I wouldn't say it's an optimum condition for using Cubitron II on the 125 sanding pad but it still works fine. Obviously, the 150 pad is a lot more efficient. You can always dial up a little more suction on the CT vac.

Here's a comparison between dust collection using Cubitron II on the 125 sander vs the 150 sander.
