Hello,

Dylos is running a group buy of their air quality monitors.  5 Days left, and 5 orders away from the second tier (15%).

Their line-up of Air Quality Monitors are on their homepage: http://dylosproducts.com/

You can download the order form from here: http://goo.gl/HO1te . It has been approved by Dylos.

Any woodworker can use the above form to order their air quality monitor before September 4th, 2012.

The discount will be applied based on the number of forms faxed in to Dylos by due date. Please keep in mind that e-mail is not a secure form of communication, it is not wise to send your credit card information via e-mail.

The discount tiers are as follows:
1-10 people 10% discount (so this is the minimum you'll save by sending in the form)
11-25 people you'll save 15%
26-50 people you'll save 20%
51-100 people you'll save 25%
over 100 people you'll save 30%

If you do decide to order one, please let me know too so that Dylos and I can compare and make sure nobody is missing (I'm not affiliated with them, just organizing this round of the group buy).

Hi Kevin.  Thanks for taking the initiative to do this.  Before I take the plunge, I've got a couple questions.

First, can we buy any of the models, and each will count toward the total?  IOW, you're not looking for each buyer to buy the same model?

Second, is there a chat forum for users, similar to the FOG?  (I'm guessing that no matter how good the directions are, there's some element of skill (or maybe "art") to getting valid readings.)

Regards,

John

Hey Kevin,
Very interested in this.  Would love to hear the answer to John's question  - Do we all have to buy the same model?  I'm interested in the  DC1100-PRO.  I was recently diagnosed with some pretty serious respiratory problems, so I need to monitor what I'm breathing or just give up woodworking  [eek].

BTW, I looked on Amazon for a better deal, and the price is the same.

It doesn't matter which model you buy, the discount applies for each and is calculated on the sum of all the units.  I think it's generally accepted that the really nasty particles are closer to the 0.5u, so the pro is preferred for woodworkers.

I don't know of any forum, though this group buy with Dylos was originally done by a man named Phil Thien (known in some circles for his two stage dust collection plans), here are some guidlines he gave to using them: http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?73486-A-preliminary-air-quality-analysis-of-my-shop

If you google Dylos and Woodworking, you'll find quite a bit of info, on top of what's on Dylos' site (http://www.dylosproducts.com/wocrandshair.html). Bill Pentz (Clearvuew Cyclones) uses a Dylos monitor.

(I'm organizing this because I wanted a group buy discount again, I don't have any experience with the unit, I'm willing to help, but not yet able :) )

Thanks for the info, Kevin.  I'm in, and glad to be a part of the group buy.  I passed on the first one (on SMC) and regretted it.  What a great opportunity, never imagined I'd get a second chance!

Regards,

John
