My neighbor asked if i would be his technical adviser for building a bulletin board kiosk (guess that's what you call it) at a local rec center.  He and his helper Scouts had no building experience.  This was a lot of fun.  Used a combination of my Festool toys, and did a lot of the prep work in my garage so we could assemble on site.  Turned out real well.  One way funny thing.  When we got to putting the sheathing up on the rafters for nailing, they said "hey, how are we going to know where to nail?"  I said "let me introduce you to my little friend-- the chalk line!"  They thought that was cooler than any of the power tools, and everyone wanted to snap it.  :>)
Proud to have helped them with this.

Nice work, I'm guessing this is in in the UK. I quite often get roped into scout projects with my sons troop, nothing that nice though.

The kiosk looks great.  As a former Scoutmaster and mentor to many Eagle Scouts, it is always a pleasure to work with eager young men and have them take pride in a job well done.  Of course it doesn't hurt to have the right tools (Festool) to help the project along.

Nice work. And thanks for giving of your time and experience to help the Scouts with this project.

I was going to say not a chance with all that clear blue sky and dried patches of grass

Good looking too.  They must be the project in favor now because I also got drafted for one up in Tennessee earlier this year.
