i work in new york and at certain instances my company send me out to get them out of a jam. so i use taxis to shuttle my self to and from jobs. so the systainers are a perfect medium for tool transport. unfortunately some tools do not need a separate systainer for each tool. we can gang them up in a single container. such as the fein multimaster is put in a small military bag with another smaller klien bag to hold extra blades and scrapers. then my festool CSX drill goes into another of those bags and i throw in countersinks, tips, drill bits , a few smaller spade bits, carbide burrs, and a small assortment of small screws. a posidrive screw driver.  then with a about four of these in a systainer 3 or 4. then in others i gang up more tools , i have a dandy portercable 267 plock planer that gets me out of jams as well as a makita 3/8" belt sander for strike plate filing, hole enlargement, what have you. i do this because i can pack the most stuff in the least amount of boxes. i also have changed out my wheels on my carts to inline skate wheels that are now ball bearinged and also work with the original brake mechanism. an easy retrofit.  the only thoing you must remember is to keep an eye on it, because i had to run after one down the side walk.  These wheels will make the originals feel like square wheels, especially on exspansion joints in the sidewalk.

Yep, that's about what I do too. I always throw as many tools in a systainer as I can. I don't have a car so I must travel as light as possible. I often go by bicycle, walking if it's close, or I get picked up by the home owner.

I have this cart that folds down to a very small package but can still carry a whole bunch of systainers. Very efficient and one of the reasons I like systainers very much.

I use the same handtruck they are available at Office Depot in NA, but I am sure the other office supplies outlets have them. They are a nice little unit and can hold quite a bit of weight (250# I believe ). B
