Hi everyone,

I would like to connect my ts 55 febq / rebq to a 50 mm hose (https://www.norres.com/us/protape-pur-301-as-p60560/).

I've been sifting through product descriptions for hours, but I just can't find the right adapter or solution.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

I know there are some 3D printed solutions out there, but I would prefer to buy something suitable right away.

Thanks in advance and best regards
Dominik

Water bottles are made from PET plastic and will shrink when heated just like shrink electric tubing.

Get a small bottle with a minimum of 2" inches in diameter.  Cut off both ends.  Heat with a heat gun to seal.

Then wait for your special order fittings to arrive.

I would wrap the exposed areas of the hose with a wet rag when using the heat gun.  The PET plastic will melt before the hose, but I would still want to keep the hose from distorting.

In the video below he used the bottle around a plastic shaft.  I would have wrapped the area just outside the bottle with the wet rags.  That would have allowed him to apply more heat and get a tighter fit.

He was clearly being cautious about melting the shaft that he was repairing.

Ok, suddenly the 3d printing option looks not so bad  ;)
I didnt think about shrinking plastics so I will also give it a try.

And this device cant help in this sitation or could it?: https://www.festoolusa.com/accessory/452897---d-50d-36-as

I think 36mm will go over the outside diameter of the TS55 end, but that is a long and stiff connector.  I think the entire thing will end up quite unwieldy, honestly, no matter what method you use to connect it; a 50mm hose is pretty big and unruly to control to begin with.  I may be wrong on that, though.

I am using similar 38mm (inside diameter) hose between kapex and midi and it does work but it needs to be tense as it is too soft otherwise and I don’t think it is going to be very good with ts55.
