I went to Ebay today and they had sent me a coupon good for 10% off purchases made through paypal.  I used one once last year, you just type in he code when on paypal and 10% is deducted from the total.

I don't think I'll have much extra money this time, but it seem like this coupon could be used to save 10% off a Festool purchase. ;)  The way I see it, the dealer isn't giving a discount - the discount is from ebay/ paypal so it's all legal. :) 

I just thought I would let you guys know in case you haven't checked your ebay page in a while.  Happy shopping!

I really thought someone would have a comment about this.  ???  Has any of you guys ever used the ebay coupon to save 10% on a Festool tool?

I buy and sell occasionally but have got a coupon for any discounts.

I don't see why it couldn't be used on Festools. It's not like the seller is aware of the coupon and doing something against the rules.
 
I got a coupon. It has nothing to do with Festool and is a paypal/ebay discount so it will work for a festool. Paypal has to be used. The discount is applied after the seller gets the full price. At least thats how it worked last year.

Actually, this year I believe it is 10.00 not 10% . Below is a pic of a coupon I got a few days ago for 10.00, I will check and see if I have one for 10%.

Well no 10% for me, I only received a 10.00 coupon off, no big deal.

I had to double check Nick, but my coupon is for 10%.

Too bad it expires before the Kapex release date (and too bad I don't have a fat bank account to cover it :().

TVGordon post a  pic of that. If anyone deserves a coupon for ebay its me. I sold 70 items last month(mostly tools). I will call and bitch, but I have to be positive what I am bitching about.

I got a better idea.  How about posting the coupon in the forum and everybody that could use it has it available? :-*  I just checked eBay and there are some nice items listed.  Unfortunately I either have what's available or don't have a need for it and I just ordered the Kapex from Bob Marino 2 days ago.

 
Al, those coupons are 99% of the time for ONLY one paypal account and can not be shared. Even my 10.00 off only works with my particular email for my paypal account. I do not think I have ever seen one that anyone could use for this type of promotion. eBay hand picks certain people only to get these so many people will never see them.

You must be right.  I don't recall ever seeing one but then I seldom use eBay.

I always thought they did it by transactions or something, but I had a heck of a lot of sales and totals for the month. They are probably my last, I am done with eBay, at least as a seller.

It's probably is random.  I've never sold on ebay (yet) and have only purchased about 8 items - none in the last 6 months.  So I can't believe it's based on ebay activity (maybe lack of?).

Anyway the code is C2MAY0810P.  And you're right, it stated that it is good only for my account.

I will get back with you on how to take the image of the coupon and post it here.  I would like to learn how to do that.

Yes it works fine. Its better than the cheaper clear plastic ones you can get for like 30.00.

I still prefer my Woodhaven setup though. It is much more money of course.

The rockler can NOT make an oval of say 18" x 36" because the differential is only 14". With the Woodhaven you can purchase other pieces to get any size or differential you want.

The picture is of my biggest oval setup. I have three differnt permanent oval jigs all made with Woodhaven parts.

For as often as I would use the jig, I think I'll look at the Rockler (or maybe just build one when I need it).
