hi festoolians

im wanting to get the ehl65 bench unit, i assume you use the edge guide that comes with the planner as the fence.. im 90% sure that ive seen a deep fence as an accessory for edge planing tall pieces but i cant find anything on festool uk etc am i dreaming?

had to work today so snapped a pic,

Im pretty sure the EHL85  does but not sure about the 65!

HAve your ever used Packexe? http://www.tilingsupplies.co.uk/packexe-carpet-protector-100m

I hate having dust sheet or Polythene down does my head in.  I know it costs more suppose it just depends how long you are their for.    If its 1 or 2 days I wont use Packexe all over just around the edges and walk ways and dust sheet the rest  any more I would do the lot with packexe.

just looked at the 85 and they do an fence thats where ive seen it
how easy is it to keep 4x1 square to the edge guide on the 65?

yeah ive used something similar before but not packexe brand, its not my job or i would have had some decent floor protection down, under that plastic there is some 600x600 gloss tiles with a layer of dust/grit inbetween = very slippy

Not sure as I dont have the Bench for the 65  I use my 85 for the bench setup up  I believe the 85 is the better planer for the bench setup up.    I would say your best making something to help keep it square like give your self more surface area on the guide as its only small on the 65 dont think its the best edge guide for the job.

Tiles! I thought it was carpet under it lol!  Bet it is slippery! I know my luck Ill drop something so I would have to have hardboard really to cover tiles!
