added end grain cutting boards to my repertoire this month. Toying with the idea of making some to sell, but not sure yet...  Both are maple, walnut and Cherry.

This is the last one I built.  They are fun to build but hard to make money on.  If your doing it to just pay for hobby and your not keeping track of your time your set.  By the time you buy the wood, make the blocks, and finish you have a lot of time invested especially with end grain taking up to 3 blocks to make one it gets expensive fast.  I normally save all my wood scraps from projects and when I get enough make a couple blocks.  I normally give them away as gifts for weddings or silent charity auctions.

Your zippers down  [tongue]

I make cutting boards and sell on the side. I take custom orders 2 times a year usually in the fall to have ready for xmas and early spring to have ready by may long weekend, as most peoplease start heading to their cottages for summer.  I only takes orders for 20 boards at a time.  It is time consuming and profit is low compared to time put in but it does pay enough to allow me cover the material price fund all the festool "needs" and upgrade all the tools in my small garage shop over the years. I enjoy doing it, the customers are very happy and I'm happy knowing I can buy a new festool item.

cheers
