Engelbert-Strauss E.S. Motion

US pants size - 38" waist, 32 length.

I taped my midsection at the navel out to 115cm as they suggest (even though my pants aint up that high!), ran by their chart, figured that for a size 60.  I read somewhere else that the rule of thumb for converting is to add 16, which would be 54 instead - that's a big gap, and is why I'm trying to figure out which way I should go.

Gotta love the imperial system.

I bought a pair of es motion last week along with a pair of es boots.
Trousers really comfortable (think I should have ordered next size down  though) loads of well thought pockets and my knee pads actually cover my knees as I'm vertically challenged

My Engelbert Strauss Motion jeans have good pockets, but on the "wrong" side for me. The jeans still bleeds color after six-seven washes which isn't nice. I am not as happy with them as with my Snickers and Fristads workwear.

I placed an order with www.engelbert-strauss.de for a pair of E.S. Motion trousers and later received an email explaining:

"thank you very much for your order about trousers e.s. motion size 102. Unfortunately I have to inform you, that we acutally not deliver to USA because of inconvenience concerning the processing of customs. At the moment, we cannot estimate how long it will take to be able again to deliver to USA. Your order will be deleted.
We apologize for that trouble!
Kind regards
Mit freundlichem Gruß"

I also tried unsuccessfully placing an order through the U.K. website. Does anyone have a suggestion for an alternate method short of traveling to Germany?

Thanks.

Guys,
...I am sick and tired of Carhartt always tearing and ripping within 6 months of purchase. On my current pair, the tool loop where I used to clip my tape measure went 3 months in, and the crotch not long after.
...

Are they correlated?

It would be the same regardless of which EU country you order from, unfortunately. I order through a Swedish website but the actual delivery comes packed and shipped directly from Germany. :(

Thanks. Accounting for airfare, these will easily be the most expensive pants that I've owned : |

I too have been considering Bjornklader, but I don't really like the pouch pockets being omnipresent.

I have mascot 3/4 shorts (jacca) and trousers (almada) both of which have slits in them you can tuck the exterior pockets into.
There is also a normal jeans style pocket below each slit so once they are tucked away they look quite normal, well assuming you haven't got the thigh pockets full of kit!

Very hardwearing, triple seams double height kneepad pockets for lankys and stumpys, only possible downside is they are 65% synthetic but certainly with the shorts that's never an issue but I guess it might be in extreme heat?

As for wear they run and run other than putting a screwdriver through a pocket 100% my fault I don't think there's been any kind of failure at all, nothing you wouldn't call normal wear and tear so I'm happy with them.

One thing I really like about them is the lhs thigh pocket has 3 compartments all velcro no zip to scratch a phone, one takes a small notebook second a phone third business cards in a small holder, pen / pencil etc on right thigh prob not so great if you're a leftie though, but for me perfect.
