I purchased a RAS 115 about a month ago figuring I would use it to remove paint from the exterior trim boards on my house this summer. But I found a good use for it in my day to day work! When remodeling I have always struggled with getting new drywall to meet up with old joints because of the previous buildup of compound, tape and paint. The current job I am on has had a number of areas that I am either extending a wall from a previous outside corner or removing walls that were from a previous remodel.

Here is one example:

The RAS cleaned up this area in about 20 mins and captured about 90% of the debris, all of the fine dust. My only disappointment is the lack of a Plug it cord, other then that I am extremely pleased with the results!

I, too, would like to see a Plug-It on the RAS115.  I really enjoy not having to wind up cords whenever I switch tools.

I had my RAS out today - dealing with a sticky door. I haven't got to use it much - but it certainly is a pleasure to use.

Love the ras as well!

I have a plug it installed on mine, all you need is a UK mole.

Used it some more today coping baseboard and crown moulding, made a few dozen copes and it works like a dream. Used 80 grit to do it and it made such nice crisp edges, so much better then a coping saw and files and faster!  [big grin]

I have used mine for scribing, truing framing, cleaning my dogs teeth.  Great tool! Get the plug-it adaptor.  [cool]
