My garage floor was epoxy painted about 10 years ago.  I have always kept it clean using Ammonia and hot water and a mop but I am noticing black discoloration deep into the paint from car tires.  Can anybody recommend a cleaner that will clean the discoloration without damaging the paint?

I've been using Ammonia which works well but not for tire stains (discoloration of the paint)

Some types of discoloration are due to changes at the molecular level.  Burn marks, for instance, mean that the structure of the chemistry has changed.  You cannot remove that color.  You can only touch it up.

Is there a touch up “paint” available?  Would it adhere to the previous coat?  Or get creative and paint highway stripes in the middle to hide the flaws.

I had a friend whose father painted highway stripes on the floor and up the rear wall, all done in “perspective” to give the illusion that the garage was miles long.
