ETS 125 EQ Random Orbital Sander under powered

I think Fein has a killer 6 and 7 inch grinder/ sander....might be the most powerful.

Yeah, perhaps, but we gotta stick within categories. And the Rotex and the Mafell are both the same types of sanders, 150 mm with rotary and random orbit action. The Feins you mention don't have that.

If we're going to talk about sheer power I can post some examples of 380 volt sanders that blow even the Feins out of the water. Also, ever heard of the Festool Ras 180? That's a 1500 watts 7 inch sander.

I had a testdrive with the new Mirka Ceros sander today and it was fitted with Abranet HD (heavy duty abranet) There wasn't any on the store shelves so the demo guy is going to send me a selection of the different grits to play with next week. I'll be giving them a try on the 125 to see how stock removal is with these new sheets. I get the feeling these will work nicely with the 125 and increase its overall effectiveness.

I expressed my wish for a stronger 125 mm a long time ago already in the Festool Wish List part of this forum. Basically, I want an ETS150 with a 125 mm pad. I think this is a sander that's really lacking from the Festool line up and would fill a gap.

I've seen 5" pad for RO-150E (previous model) once.  It uses the same mounting as ETS-150. Was it prototype or Festool just stopped  produce them? This pad never was on sale in the USA.
