I've done this "mod" a long time a go, back in the day when i only had one festool sander by now i have 6...

So here it is for those who need a tool for working 8 hours a days and little to no maintenance the ets 150 is perfect after this mod...

Ah, okay....... Is there supposed to be something wrong with the plug-it?

No not really, but they can become damaged and then the damage is spread from tool to tool and lead to lead.
regular checks on both lead and tool end replacing any worn items will prevent the damage spreading

the advantages of the plug it out weigh the disadvantages imo

Unless the tool is on a dedicated station, in constant use and never gets unplugged, then it's just another part with the potential to go wrong.
