Are there any updates regarding the ETS EC 150/3 EQ series sanders coming to North American dealers?

You may not be able to answer this, but based upon past practice, is it likely that Festool would drop the price of the current ETS model once the Brushless came on line (which will no doubt be more expensive, whatever end up being done with the price of the older ETS)?

I thought late 2015 was the ETA...not sure where I read that.  It looks like a great sander.  I hope it comes over to NA.

Edward, there's no established protocol that would suggest a price drop. As far as I know, there was no price change in Europe.

It's not completely unheard of, but I don't want to set false expectations. We did reduce the prices of the Trion in anticipation of the Carvex launch, as an example. I'm not sure if that same price decrease was seen in Europe. But, I usually look to the European market as a barometer for what might happen here.

I can answer ya, likeliness: zero.

Festools almost never drop in price. And I doubt Festool is planning on discontinuing the good old ETS 150 anytime soon either, it's a very well proven concept and one of Festools' better selling tools. I don't think you should look at the new ETS as a replacement, but more of an extension of the line which has to prove itself before drastic decisions about other models are going to be made.
