Ets ec 150/3 one part away from 5mm

I just bought a ets ec 150/3,  when I was looking through the manual I looked at the tool parts break down and it appears that only one part that differs from the 5mm and the 3mm. So my question is if I buy the 5mm part does that mean I can swap it out with my 3mm part and make my sander a 5mm if I wanted to swap between the two?  It would be really easy to do.  I noticed when I removed the pad that the part says 150/3 on it and saw pictures online of the 5mm and the same part says 150/5.  Looks like only two screws hold the parts in question on.  Part numbers are 500396 and 500333.

The part # you have listed is a $121 part...if that's worth it?

This is the kind of tool modification that we can't really comment on one way or the other. Some other Foggers might have some feedback, but we can't recommend modifying tools in this capacity.
