HI folks

I looked at this very closely,  it would appear that both machines have exact same motor characteristics such as 400w output etc.

As well,  it appears that the bolt size and threads to remove the pad is same.

My question is - - - -  can I  put the 150mm pad on the 125mm machine??  If yes then I may as well buy the less expensive machine and buy the 150 pad if and when needed. In short buy the 5 inch machine and just swap it out to a 6 inch pad if and when needed. This saves me a bit of money up front and gives me option to up size.

Has anyone tried this?

I believe the pad differences mean that the Pad Brake doesn't touch since the diameters are not stock.  So, you have no stopping of the sander when you lift your sander off a work piece.
