Hi all,
I received an ETS150/3 for Chrissy and used it in hand to hand combat for the first time yesterday. In the past I have used the RO150 for all sanding, right through to 4000g and while I get a very good finish, it is always enhanced by the addition of a wax seal.
These two pictures show the box after sanding with the ETS150/3 from 180g through to 4000g.
1. Lid oiled and sanded, no wax
2. lid oiled sanded and waxed.
Don't know what you guys think, but to me there is no appreciable difference in the finish. Admittedly, the wax adds a little depth to the overall tone and colour depth, but thats what its there for. I don't think you could ask more from a sander. I expect to see a significant difference in the finish I can derive after a little practice with vacuum pressure and appropriate grit selection. This is going to be fun. ;D ;D
