I posted up a few weeks back about my domino which I bought in the US, its power pin inside the tool side of the plug it system, one of them had snapped off. I filled out the form last friday, it was picked up on Monday and its back today. Very good service on the count that its an American tool which my local festool dealer assured me Festool UK wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, and the speed of turn around.

Just thought I'd post that up as I've seen one or two negative comments about the web regarding festools service so credit where its due their service is as good as their tools.

Hi chems

It does not suprise me that it was repaired, why would they not? the only criticism I have heard of festool UK is it can be hard to get a reply from them on line. And I can confirm that from my own experience.if phoned they are friendly and helpfull.

Na      -10

took over 2  weeks to fix my jigsaw then charged for replacing items that I didn't want fixed

I under stand they wanted the tool to come back to me in tip top condition but it felt like they charged me to replace things that would later come under warranty

The repair was done through my dealer, festool was rubbish in communicating when the tool would be returned.
I feel ripped off,

really disappointed not a good experience.

Maybe,

I think that FOG are influencing festool UK.

They are generally crap big style and they hate FOG for publicising their short comings

In my mind, no matter the reason why, it is great to hear that there was a positive resolution o the issue.  Thanks for posting!

Hi Chems.  I'm glad you got the Domino sorted.

If anyone has issues contacting Festool UK I would be happy to help out.

Yes I was very pleased, and as FEStastic was saying I have heard otherwise to do with the service dept. But spoke to them 3 times on the phone and they were very helpful.

I also hope it puts others minds at rest if they have US tools in the UK or UK tools in the US as to weather festool will honour the warranty. My local festool dealer swears blind Makita and Dewalt won't touch imported tools which was why he said he thought festool wouldn't either.

Its just cemented my mind set to buy the blue green tools as a good product is one thing, but backed up by top service and you can't ask for more.
