Hey all, new guy here. Have googled and searched the forums to no avail but am wondering what the second set of bolt holes in the MFT corner braces are for. I rarely post questions, because so much knowledge is already on the internet, but I am at a loss for this small question. I like the system approach, and am working hard to understand all aspects of the system. Thank you.
Brian

The leg fitting top elbows are asymmetrical - legs on one side use the inner bolt holes and the other side use outer holes.  This allows legs to nest when the bench is folded.

Thank you [member=68668]Vtshopdog[/member] for clearing the mystery. I have wondered about this too.

I only noticed this because I move my table all the time and legs on one side need to fold down first to sit under the second side.

(Most days I get it right, but if I’m tired it’s 50-50....)

Just wanted to add that with a single hole each corner bracket would have to be unique (4 different parts). With two holes there is only two unique parts. Diagonally opposite corners are identical and interchangeable.

When I had my mft...I used that extra set of holes to install wheels that rode on a carriage bolt attachwd there. Made moving it so much easier.
