Just a heads up in case you haven't heard about the promo. 10% off on both Domino models and associated accessories and tenons.

Remember, we offer a 30-day money back guarantee on all tools. Accessories and consumables are not covered by this policy.

Hi Shane,
I'm trying to take the plunge on this one and I had 2 quick questions.

1. If I bought a 500 and decided within the first 30 days of having it that the 700 was a better fit, during that return/exchange transaction would the 10% discount apply to the 700 even though it would be bought after June 30?

2. If I bought a 500 (or 700) by June 30 and later had the money to purchase a Dust Extractor, would the combo discount for buying a Domino and DE then apply towards the purchase of that dust extractor (as long as it was within 30 days of the Domino purchase)?

I think I know the answer to #2, but I wanted to ask anyway to be sure- because at this point the only way I can fathom coming up with the money for a Domino and dust extraction is to paint everything else I own green and convince Frank 'Sitting Elf' that it's NAINA and he has to have it.  ;D

Thanks very much,
Dave

Dave, I ran this one up the chain and was told that promo pricing would only be applicable until June 30th. So test the 500 quickly!! Sorry I don't have better news on that one.

What are you primarily planning to use your Domino for and we can help point you to the right model.

Regarding the addition of the CT, yes that's always been the case that you can add it later and get the package savings.

I'm not in the market for another Domino but I was told today by my local dealer that they extended the promo by a couple weeks. Any truth to that?

Your dealer is misinformed. No extension.

If a dealer has a customer who purchases before 6/30 but has no inventory we will extend a rain check. Dealers must take certain steps with us for the rain check.

Domino XL pricing/accessory questions:

Per the Festool website:

-574422 Domino XL DF 700 Joiner $1,250.00

-Cross stop (No. 498590) is $61.20

Together those are $1,311.20

But then:

-574447 Domino XL + Trim and Cross Stops $1,325.00

I don't see a 'Trim' accessory in the XL accessory list so why is the combo price higher than the two things separately? I'm obviously missing something. ???

Also are the XL tenon systainers available empty or only loaded w/ beech tenons?

Lastly is there a pack of XL cutter bits that contains all sizes or must I buy them individually?

Trim stop (493487) is 68.00 (61.20 on sale)

Thanks promark747, since that shows up as a 500 accessory and not the XL I figured it wasn't applicable, maybe a website problem then.

That leads me to another question, is the XL at $1250 the sale price or original price?

The catalog says that $1250 is the regular price.

Thanks very much Shane. I appreciate the clarification. Unfortunately, I can make a very strong case for both based on the jobs I'm on and the jobs I'm looking at in the future. At the moment I'm leaning toward the 500 and adding the 700 later*.
*Subject to change several times in the next 24 hours.  [wink]

That's fine. I'm still going to paint everything else I have green and try to sell it to Frank/Sitting Elf as NAINA must-haves.  ;D
Dave

So I got to my 2014 catalog and am I correct in understanding that the cross stop and trim stop for my 500 can be also used on the 700?
