I won't say what it cost me, but I now have every sander and a bunch of paper for each.  [big grin]

LOL. Something to be said for the power of promotions.
Because of my sloth, I was unable to take advantage of the sale...although the Shinex threads had me close, I have some serious work to do on both my cars. I got lacquer on one of them. Man that stuff sticks really well and it was watered down.

I came very close to  buying an RO 125, but ultimately I wasn't sure enough that this was the right sander for me and there was an unusual opportunity to get a boom arm set for my CT36 which I am certain will very useful, so the boom arm won out.

I didn't really take full advantage of the sander promotion (I bought a box of granat) but I certainly would pull the trigger on a drill promotion.
