The Schmalz Multi-Clamp is a versatile vacuum clamping system. Suction can be achieved with either a vacuum pump, or a large air compressor, depending on the clamping pod style. However, big compressors are not very portable, so a vacuum pump makes more sense if you need the mobility.
For strength, speed, and convenience, it's tough to beat vacuum clamping. Flexible pads conform to the workpiece for strong suction without leaking, and won't mar the workpiece. Further, the edges and top surface are completely unobstructed, allowing work to be done with less repositioning.
The adjustable base of the Multi-Clamp allows the workpiece to be tilted and rotated to position it vertically, horizontally, or anywhere in between for comfort and ergonomics, enhancing tool operation and control.
