Fastcap AB2 Laser Level or something else?

Thanks, Tom and Greg...
This morning, I rec'd a free shipping offer from Lee Valley and noticed that they have a pendulum locking cross hair laser level with basically the same specs as all the other red lasers for $109 along with a 90 day return policy.  Thought it to be a no-brainer to try it out, since I've been happy with previous Lee Valley products. If it's a bust, then I'll give Tom a call.

I love my fastcap. The laser is pretty much similar to a lot of others but the laserjamb pole is really nice. One thing that I like about fastcap is their support if needed is similar to festool. Not going to get that from all manufacturers!

You got that right. One reason why I like Fastcap...the people are nice, too!

That said, I got cold feet on the Lee Valley laser and cancelled the order...since there is no real support behind this product...warranty, etc.  I've been burned enough times to know better...one of the reasons that I love Festool products.

After speaking with a contractor friend, today, I decided to go with another company that I've had excellent dealings with.  (BTW, so far, the best manufacturer service has been from Festool, Mafell, Hilti, DeWalt, Woodpecker, and Fastcap.) I ordered the Hilti laser. Cost is more, but the product is rugged, with a 2 year warranty, free calibrations for a year, and lifetime service  for the product. ($60 per calibration, after two years.) It's build like a tank, with rubber on all corners. Hilti guarantees that nothing will happen to it if it falls on concrete from three feet.  And, I know the company is good for it.
