Having just purchased a T18+3 Basic drill set. I'm looking at the above chuck.
I have read alot of the threads how its great for flush and protruding levels. Nowhere that I have read about screws being countersunk. The image of the chuck also shows flush or protruding.
I have decking which was predrilled and countersunk. This was used by a non festool countersink drill which wasn't that accurate. All my screws are about 2mm below the deck. I want to now use the depth stop to use on screws that are flush or protruding by reversing the screw out and then drilling back in. The deck is Kwila Hardwood and treated pine joists.
So my question is, can this chuck be set to a depth greater than just flush? ie 2mm below the surface?
I was also looking at the DC UNI FF as that will fit the CXS which I want to by in the near future.
Am I better just to use the tourque control and slow speed? I'm not keen on that as I have 70 SQM (750 SQF) of decking.
Any ideas or suggestions?
