This is the start of a piece of contemporary art me and my daughter are doing. It's white acrylic with cut up pieces of hula-hoops, garden hose, vacuum hose,PVC pipe, and just about any round plastics we can find. It's a lot of fun but it takes way longer than I imagined.

Cool so far. What are you using to glue the various parts to the backer acrylic?

Will this be hung on the wall or part of something else..?

we are using  cyanoacrylate glue with spray accelerator . Yes, it's gonna hang on wall after I put walnut frame and backlight with led tape. The white acrylic is somewhat transparent , I think it will look cool, but still open for suggestions.

That's cool to be doing a project with your daughter.

I've been trying to get my kids interested in building/making stuff but they mostly want to get back to their xbox and other electronic gadgets as fast as they can.  [unsure]

Cool cool!

If you do led lighting, look into color changing strips - there is an inexpensive set I found at Costco. Different colors from behind would be super cool on this project!

+1 on the LED lights behind.

You didn't say, but I assume it's a school project? If not, what prompted it?

BTW, you guys are very creative. Kudos!
