Fein insert in TLoc w/lid compartment

I was wondering, would the fein insert fit in the TLoc 2 with lid compartment that Woodcraft sells?

The reason I ask is because I have read that the lid compartment takes up some space inside the systainer, and I didn't know if that would leave enough room for the insert.

I am pretty sure that would fit. Looking at the photos of the T-Loc Fein you can see that the insert is about a 1/2" shorter than the Sys-II sides. The center lid projection is not more than 1/4". And there shouldn't be anything sticking up  above the insert in the front center location. You may not be able to use the lid foam , but probably not a big deal.

Yes is fits!

Here is the proof, it's actually a Protool SYS 2-AS with a Fein SuperCut.
The insert is actually made for the Multimaster, but it also fits the SuperCut.
And the systainer is the same as the Festool SYS 2-DF.

In the top lid it's easy to store the blades.
To big/high accessories would not fit and should be stores inside the systainer.

Then it will look like the one below.
According to my information only Woodcraft carries the Tanos parts like coloured handles in NA.
I've seen no coloured latches at Woodcraft until now.

An alternative would be to use an orange systainer with black handle and latch.
These are actually the Fein company colors.
But I'm afraid that these are NAINA.

You can order the Protool orange from Europe. Shipping isn't all that bad...if you want it bad enough, then it's worth it!

I know that Woodcraft now has some colored handles but not the Tloc latches (not yet anyway.) Well, if and when the colored latches become available I will have to buy a MM to put in the systainer. I've been wanting one ever since I borrowed my neighbors 2 summers ago to work on my house. The orange Tloc latches is what is going to push me over the edge  ;D
