Fein Multimaster FMM350Q =changed armature, now won't run

I just replaced the armature on my wonderful Fein FMM350Q and the two brushes.  I eagerly plugged it in, and it ran for about a second, then stopped.  I tried it again, and the same thing happened.  I tried replacing the speed control unit but it didn't change the symptoms.  Anyone have that happen to them? Any suggestions? I would love to get this tool working again.

Check the brushes, brush housings, and wires. Those are the most likely issues.
I have seen a lot of people break brushes and housings trying to remove the armature before the brushes. Make sure everything turns freely too.

Sounds like maybe somethings shorting?
