Fein multimaster inserts still available?

I've wanted a T-loc systainer for my multimaster since I saw them, but it was always too low on the priority list...

Have I missed out? I see the systainers, but no inserts, on the various seller sites.

Thanks

My understanding from early on is that these are what Fein uses.  However I've not owned a Fein myself, and they may have switched up since I looked at them about a year ago.  Tanos part number and internal naming has been multimaster insert.  When they updated to the version for T-Loc and SYS3 I think they made the name more generic.

There have been a few designs, although I don’t think the foam versions are available anymore, but I guess it might be worth talking to Fein to see if they carry them as spare parts. From what I’ve seen, there are five designs, one of which was available in both t-loc and classic. The last two are foam, although I’ve only ever seen the second of the foam inserts in the flesh (it’s the one I have in my Systainer edition Multimaster):

Oh, and Kaizen also do a custom one for the cordless Multimaster:

And finally there was a Fein accessories insert for all your blades:

In the past I talked with Fein about carrying a few of their systainer items since Tanos isn't able to sell direct to me.  My conversations with Fein were taking place just as COVID was setting into the US, so we dropped communicating.  A keep point I remember in the conversation was the MOQ, which was a bit high I thought, for just buying the various Fein Orange systainers and accessories.  In the new year I could consider picking the conversation back up.  New year.  Better business case for me to consider.

This is the Fein insert I have. I think it's just one of several designs they've offered over the years.

Cheese, is that an original Systainer Edition, or something you've put together by buying the Systainer and insert separately? I only ask because the label doesn't look like the standard Fein one, and I thought the official Fein kits only came with the foam inserts.

Every once in a while Fein comes out with a set in Systainer. But it's been a while now...

Hmm, actually... last year;

That looks like the '2017 Anniversary Edition'... Basically a Systainer Edition Multimaster and the accessory set bundled. Not sure it counts as much of an 'edition' if they just release the same thing every year...

It’s one I put together. At the time, I had to order every piece separately.  [sad]

Hmm yeah. Seems one seller just renamed it.

A google search for "Fein Systainer" will get you several dealers / sellers that have actual Fein versions with logo on the Sys and black handle. I have a Fein Sys T-Loc II with the plastic insert for my corded Multi-Master. Fits well, works well. The little extra height in the Sys-II makes it easy to coil the cord on top. Which is the same arrangement as the one Cheese posted.

Prior to that I used a double layer insert in an orange ( ex BTI) Classic Sys - III.

I just think that on the European side of the ocean the availability of custom Systainer gear is a bit better.

Mine was the foam style, like the one on the far right of spandex's post.
it had the orange Tloc with the white Fein logo. I bought it as a limited edition and was rather disappointed when I couldn't get a new one when the original was destroyed.
I thought about replacing it with a Vecturo, but at this time the only cordless Festool item I have is the TXS. I really wouldn't mind a corded version, IF it was otherwise the same. That's a big if though, because it is clearly left behind.

I like the double stack one Seth put together :) My poor abused multi tools live in a tool box full of other tools. My plan as I rearrange my tools is to do more double stacking. Already did my RO90 into a double stack in a Sys3.

Making inserts is not hard to do and material can be wood or plastic like ABS. May not be quite as light, but thin material can be used to keep weight down. Plus you can design whatever layout you desire.

Another option for those wanting their multi tool in a Systainer is to buy the Vecturo ;) Also comes in a cordless version, which for me is the only way to buy a multi tool.

Only comes in a cordless version now.  [sad]

Coen, It still comes corded (at least in the US), but it has not been updated/improved like the cordless version.
That is my hesitation. If I could get a corded version that was the same as the cordless, I would buy it tomorrow.
