Kinda a big deal.  Fein has re-released the Supercuts and instead of around $750-$900 they're going to retail starting at $419.  Pretty killer and very worthwhile.

For those of you who don't know, it's more or less a multimaster on steroids.  Bout twice the power.  Gets jobs done very quickly.  I'm sure a few here will speak up, as I thiiiink they have in the past, about the features 'n benefits of this tool.

It's certainly nota  tool for everyone and some who don't use it in high frequency don't find it worthwhile.  But for those who do, it's a game changer.

Do you ship to Canada?  If so, ballpark what wojld it cost and can you do USPS?  Or who do you use that may be cheaper.  We tend to get screwed on non-USPS carriers with exorbitant brokerage fees otherwise when receiving stuff from the US.

Kevin, just USPS up to you guys.

Shoot an email to doug@toolnut.com or peter@toolnut.com and they'll give you the details.

Awesome. Once Festool's overpriced copy rolls around picking up blades for the SC won't be such a pain in the hole.

But does it come in a Systainer?

No, another dealer had photos of it w systainer on eBay. I asked them to confirm that the systainer was part of the package and 5 minutes later they removed the listing. They emailed and said it would be available w systainer later in the year.

Fein will be at JLC at the end of the month and will be offering a very sweet deal on a 25 pack of blades; supposedly somewhere in the 7.00 per blade range.

I spoke with the rep at the Woodworking Show in Somerset, NJ last month and he told me all about it.  Said something along the lines of Fein HQ has gotten smarter about pricing, especially the blades.  While he denied it had anything to do with the after marker suppliers, his denials were not vociferous.  [blink]

So the Fein supercut will be available in the US in a systainer?  When?

I have one of the older Multimasters, what will this new version offer me?

Jack

The SuperCut isn't a "newer version" of the MultiMaster.. It's been around for quite awhile.  Its' $800+ price point has been a bit high for many to even notice it.  It has a more powerful motor than the MM.

If the supercut becomes available in the systainer at the reduced price I will buy one, I would even prepay.  [cool]  Is this the same supercut or is it a cheaper version?

Daniel

Awesome, thanks Dave.  We'll get it out to you asap.
