It is a safer way to cut some small parts accurately. Sometimes trimming little pieces of wood or other parts that are hard to hold in one hand while using the OMT in the other.

Besides, it's a drill stand, it has other uses. I use my Proxxon all the time. One of the best tool investments I ever made.

The more I learn about building log furniture the more I find that you have to invent the tools you need. An interesting challenge
