As far as I know, the Felder/Hammer straight cutter head on the A3-31 (and similar) cannot be upgraded to the Felder/Hammer spiral head. The factory will not do this work. You are warned to make your choice when ordering the machine. There is no going back later. The only choice later on is an aftermarket cutter, such as Byrd.
