Felder sliding Saws - can the outrigger be installed after manufacture?

Hi All

Does anyone know if the outrigger table can be installed / retrofitted after delivery from the factory? Do the saws from Felder come provisioned for this? Question relates specifically to a K500.

Ask your rep. Within warranty its easy. Any issues, login and open a service ticket and a technician will assist or be onsite.

Thank you for that. It's too late for me to change my order at this stage, so I will see how I get on with the saw without the outrigger and take it from there.

I bought my K3 without an outrigger and added it later. There is some advantage to doing it this way because you finish up with two crosscut fences, one at the front and the other at the back which can be used for parallel cutting when required. If you don't cut many panels and work mainly with solid wood then the outrigger in not needed. Even for occasional panel work with assistance from a helper it is not a huge problem.
