Festool 1010 EBQ wobbly depth adjuster

Hello,

The "microadjuster" was the main reason I bought the 1010EBQ. Mine is year model 2010, purchased just a little ago, as brand new.

There's an irritating problem with the 1010 EBQ depth adjuster.

I adjust and tighten the 1010 depth stop, and it will (very formally) hold it in vertical position. But even if tightened, the depth adjuster assembly wobbles laterally from side to side. The pivot point of wobble seems to be around the region where the "microadjuster" screw locates. I believe I have interpreted the situation accordingly.

Moreover, the "microadjuster" seems not really adjust measures consistently even according to it's own dial values.

Ok, certainly I did not expect any plastic-deformation-based-zero-tolerance-precision-threading-Festool to be a Bridgeport... It's only I just expected something to appear a bit "easier". Easier than adjusting "the fine licking" with your usual taper gauges. Eh... Sorry.

Anyway, Does the depth stop assembly in Your 1010 EBQ wobble, or, does the depth stop generally behave like not expected from Festool?

Ok, Could it be this issue has been readily discussed somewhere else in FOG? (could not find anything on my own, language barrier perhaps)

Or is this something unheard of?

Any tips or hints are greatly appreciated.

When I just got my 1010 I used the micro adjuster during setup when using a routing template for routing the metal cups for a multipoint lock in a door jamb.
But after I noticed it "adjusted" itself due to vibration while routing, I bottomed it out in one direction so it wouldn't move anymore during use, and atleast the depthstop would remain in the position I had set it at. (I haven't used it since)
(I do like the micro-adjust on my older bosch router, but it's on a column instead of on the depthstop, I think the of2200 also has such an adjustment.)

Hi,

Thanks for your comment.

Same thing with my current routines with the 1010 EBQ.
