Hi, I bought the 1400 router in 2016, I mainly intended using this for dove tail draw boxes but not really used it much. It's been sat in workshop and only used occasionally. However when I did use it I noticed a slight shock from the metal body. I dismissed this as possible static from hose, it was a little disconcerting at times but I just lived with it for few times I used it.
I've just used it again for first time in a while and had no hose attached, again I was getting slight shock. I disconnected it left it for a while and connected to a different outlet, again if I touch the body I get a shock, disconnected no shock.
It's not a massive jolt, more that you can just tell there is electricity flowing through your fingers.
I can't see this being normal, has anyone any pointers before I pull the thing apart.
Thanks
Dave
