Will this kit be released this year? I’ve been trying to find it for the last few months and no one has it! Would appreciate any info, if they will be re release again, or who still has them?
So, for the U.S. customers here's the price breakdown.
Clamping Elements - $125.00
Quick Clamps x 2 - $84.00
Planing Stops x 2 - $49.00 (from Lee Valley)
Short surface dogs x 4 - $31.80 (from Lee Valley)
Sys1 Systainer - $76
Insert not available....
Grand Total $365.80 if my addled brain is functioning. The Festool price is/was $300. We had one of these sets for as long as I worked at Woodcraft and then it sold. I was able to get some more transferred in from another Woodcraft store and immediately sold both sets the same day. After another transfer, I bought a set and we have two more available. Stop by the Chattanooga Woodcraft store if interested. This is a great deal, iff, you actually have a use for all of the contents. I personally like the fact that you can store and carry your MFT clamping solutions in a single systainer. YMMV. The plane stops are really cool for putting in your MFT at right angles and using them to hand plane down to a fairly thin board. I think Dave Stanton reviewed this set on Youtube and he uses the surface dogs for holding stock to domino. In any case, I love the set and use the contents regularly. 8)
And, we, as woodworkers know there's no such thing as too many clamps....
Postscript - Bessey must make the Festool quickclamps because we sell the Bessey and the Festool ones at our store....the Festool version is significantly less expensive. ($58 Bessey vs $42 Festool)
