Until now there is no info on 2016 Festool releases.
You must be aware that these will hit your shores at least around 2017 or even never (NAINA).
Hope you can wait so long.

Based on their direction with the Sysrock, for 2016 I'm expecting Festool to bring out a mobile phone with no internal battery and no SMS capability.

Ah ha ha brilliant

I wish I could shed some light on new products for 2016 but alas, no news here. Sysrock and hand sanding abrasives are already well known and we haven't been told about anything else.

We do have a meeting with our TSM and the new UK Sales Director later this month and I will press for information, but as Peter has said, it's all hush-hush until launch normally.

Best regards

Warren

Sadly I'm being very sarcastic ...

The Sysrock comes with no DAB .. the new Systainer Vac has no variable vacuum. Things that are "current" technology and things that have become the selling points for Festool are absent from their latest offerings. Add the Chinagate charger fiasco and you'd have to ask where Festool are actually going!!!

Had the meeting, and nothing to add sorry. Save your money for next year or spend it on a holiday.

I'm hoping by saying this out loud I'll be proved wrong and we'll see lots of new lovely green and blue things launched.

If I was Festool and was looking into the global market, in 2016 I'd be quietly working hard on an uber reliable 110V version of my 125mm angle grinder that is the foundation of several diamond grinding and concrete renovation offerings.

I'd also be looking to engage an induction motor specialist for an upgraded KAPEX.

Lastly I'd be looking to extend my 18V range with a dedicated compact impact driver and a cordless planer.

2017 would see me hitting the market with a Sys5 size thicknesser that had an interchangeable cutter that could also turn out custom mouldings and later in the year a new range of CMS inserts that were dedicated units for sawing, routing and planing.

2018 would be the year that I redefine the track saw, by introducing the FS-VACTRAX - that offers vacuum clamping of the track and total automation of the track saw. The new MFT/4 would be slightly larger, with fold out transport rollers and a deployable boom arm. The new range of light weight dual action brushless sanders would operate from the DC and power backpack or the new cyclonic vac & power DC's.
