TS55 REQ Doesn't Work - $450...???

I spend a lot of time trolling through classified ads looking for more Festool. Apologies if I'm asking too many tool questions.

Found a guy listing a 2016-03 TS 55 REQ that he says "Does Not Work, would turn on for a few seconds in a low power state" and is asking $450.

The asking price sounds ludicrous for a tool that does not work. But, presuming that the guy is willing to deal, what might be an appropriate price and any ideas on what it might cost to send it to Festool to repair?

Depends on how much the control board costs to replace I suspect.

That price is just ludicrous though.

I am in Nova and I have seen the same listing. No way I'd pay $450 for that. There is somebody in Rockville offering a TS 55 with FS1400/2 rail for $560 that looks hardly used - that seems like it would be a much better purchase.

Agreed. I've also been in touch with that gentleman. It's really been just a matter of when I can get down to that area!
