Dollars and other monopoly money is being printed at a record pace. Anything of real value can't be made that way and thus the price expressed in funny money will go up.

You've got that right...

Beaver Industrial has a banner on their home page that there will be a price increase on January 1st. Anyone hear about this somewhere else to confirm?

I thought the usual increase happened in the spring, March/April?
Maybe this is just earlier because of the afore-mentioned cost increases?

Germans usually adjust pricing from April 1st. Though it seems like more of Europe’s markets are adopting that strategy. Germans are methodical (and not necessarily logical..). That said, I’ve seen price increase later in the year as well, usually when sub vendors are forced to increase prices. With the pandemic it is more likely with a price increase at any time.

They skipped the 2021 increase after pushing 2020's to July, 2020.  January 1 seems logical 18 months after the last one.

The current PS 300 list price is less than it was just before the Carvex arrived. So there is your price drop  [tongue]

😂😂
- It’s a blistering quick loading page, what more can you demand?!

.. You can get yourself a VPN account for your browser.. I haven’t bothered, don’t see any benefit for my use.

I really don’t get why on earth some dealers in the US get so many inquiries from Europe? Most if not all Festool’s are more expensive in the US. And that’s before shipping and later tax..
You US folks buy from Europe the things you don’t get in the US, we do the same with things not available here. So what?

I’ve bought Domke camera bags at an ridiculous landed price, but that’s because B&H was the only place that carried those particular ones i wanted. Later a couple of dealers in the UK had them. Now they are discontinued. Still, glad I did even given the end price.

Well, only some US firms appear to have an issue with some EU rules, using it as excuse to outright block access altogether.

FYI, we will honor current 2021 prices until 12/31, even for out-of-stock items. So, [member=73053]imdking[/member] if you want another Domino XL, order now to lock in the current prices.

Speaking strictly about Festool, are there things available here that you cannot get there?
Electric motors aside, because the voltage is not compatible.

The covid19 situation this year did cut into my tools/ woodwork fund. I usually order from axminstertools.com while I'm in the U.S, and have those 230v tools shipped to Botswana. Then I travel to Botswana mid December, returning to the U.S. mid January. My ticket is usually paid for by September or October. But this year, I'm not even sure I'll make it there before the holidays.

It seems I'll have to just eat the price increase for next year. Can't win them all.

Thanks for the tip, [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member]. I will keep that in mind.

Let's not turn this into a debate about EU vs. USA or the rest of the world intenet rules and regulations.

Thanks,

Sorry, it wasn't meant as a debate or even complaint. I am truly curious, being a bit naive about the actual differences. So many things are the same, yet others are very different.

Yup,  A civil discussion is fine. Unfortuantely an inflammatory post had to be removed.

Well, I don’t think most see this as something personal.
Me neither, it’s rather a reflection of members posting links to a dealer, instead of the official FT USA website, which I presume most world wide can access.

Just one note on that; if one wish to share and receive input from all members, use an official web page.

I don’t share the dealer(s) I buy from on here, except fellow native I come across discussing dealers and Festool products. Because most country specific belongs with an explanation to a post if relevant.
I do understand that many have the same dealers they buy from, and share as an automatic gesture.

Last, I appreciate Shane Holland’ contribution to the forum, and he is very welcoming, though his “Dealer posts” gets ignored  [big grin] So Festoolproducts.com or Toolnut.com are just names of “some shop” seen from Europe.

Guns and cheap Thinkpads.  [wink]

Rare Maglites

Oh, and the Canon photo printers and photo paper is like 3x cheaper in the USA but their ink is cheaper overhere  [big grin]

And stuff to repair electronics from Soviet origin seems to be better available in the USA

Are people just trying to find ways to get something started in this topic by interjecting hot button comments?
