Sorry, I read over the part 'strictly Festool'.

I guess some parts of the CMS that were discontinued in Europe earlier or not at all (yet) in the USA? Although Festool parts service will still deliver you any CMS module in parts  [tongue]

So you can't buy the whole thing as a single unit, but you could assemble it from parts? That's a little silly, and probably not very cost effective?

Correct.

That's how some guys got the CMS saws up and running in the states, to my recollection.

I like to call it the Johnny Cash Special. ;)

That’s the current case for the bench mount for the HL 850 planer. When offered way back when, it was around $150…in pieces from EKAT it runs around $325.

I posted about this before, but it's the way I got my PS module for the CMS. In one of those posts is also the price I paid. Wasn't that much more expensive. But there are very few parts. The alu plate, some steel brackets and the rest is off the shelf materials like bolts, nuts, washers, knobs. I assembled it myself, used some Shimano anti-seize assembly paste. Buying in parts saced me the small plastic plate for the PS200  [tongue]. That thing that covers the area behind the anti splinter strip.

Festool has announced a price increase for 2023 effective Jan 4 2023. Usually it's a small 1%-2% increase but this year that's not the case.

Some examples;
The DF 500 goes from $1099 to $1199
The TSC 55 K from $499 to $549
The ETSC 125 from $479 to $539

Right around 10% across the board.  [eek]

Maybe if I just hold on to all of my tools for another year or two, I can sell them for twice what I paid.  Definitely going to leave a note for someone to check current pricing before selling it all in the case of my untimely demise.

There has been some " collateral damage" due to removed posts. Sorry.

Seth
