Hi,

Hopefully, I'm not the only one that's had this issue.

I have a Kapex KS60 and Festool Midi extractor with the standard 27mm hose. The hose fits the KS60 fine and does a decent job of clearing the dust.

The issue is that the hose protrudes out of the back a fair amount hitting the walling and meaning I have to have the KS60 forward on the bench. I expected there to be an angle adapter available and ordered the 27mm rotating adapter (456806) last week, it's just arrived and it's the wrong end - it's the end for between the hose and the vacuum. Just speaking with Nuts & Bolts and they've said there isn't an angle for that end (wish they had told me that last week when I spoke to them).

Does anyone have a solution to this issue, I would have expected many people would like to use an angle to reduce the space used by the saw. I am happy to move up to the 36mm hose, if there is a solution for that.

Hi,

  Welcome to the forum!  [smile]

No angle adapter for the saw end. But a D36 hose short or shortened to about 5' - 5 1/2' length works very well. Improves the DC. It will stick straight up out the vac. The 5'ish length allows enough travel for miters and sliding but leaves only a small amount to protrude behind the saw.

As said, there is no angle adapter for this kind of thing. If I was in need of one I'd look around to see if I could find some material to make one myself.

Posted on the UKWorkshop forum... but the angle adaptor off the Metabo KGSV 72 saw looks like a goer for both D27 and D36 hoses. All you have to do is find somewhere to get it from :/
