Festool 485017 SE-HL Bench Jointing Unit For HL 850 Planer

Does anyone know how I can get a hold of a complete/working Bench to unit for my HL 850 E-F- plus Planer? I do understand they have been discontinued, any info would help.

I've been searching for one since I have a HL 850 arriving tomorrow. Looks like it'll be a DIY until a used one comes up for sale.

You can buy the parts to put it together. I’ve looked for a complete unit and haven’t found any old stock.

I'm assuming that'd be through the Festool spare parts website?

I searched for one for 4-5 years before stumbling upon one.

All the individual parts are still available as spare parts from Festool but doing it that way will cost you 2x the price of an assembled unit. There is only 1 part that is no longer available.

Yeah, I think I'll skip the piece meal version and keep looking for one to pop up on the used market. Have to wonder why Festool decided to discontinue the first item in the parts list?

When I was finally able to purchase the complete bench unit it arrived without the scale ring (715167) so it's probably one of those items that's easy to misplace. It took a while, but I was finally able to order a replacement item. Just make sure your bench unit comes with a scale ring because they are also very difficult to find.
