For sale is a set of the out-of-production Festool 488555 Long MFT Profiles. Price is firm at $200. Included is the perforated plate to convert your MFT 1080 into a 2080. These extrusions are 2 meters long and replace the existing long rails on your 1080 table (or other similar MFT).
To make this setup work well, I cut a small amount off one edge of the stock MFT 1080 plate to have a square edge. The 2nd plate included here was cut to fill the remaining space on the 2m long table frame. I cut biscuit slots and used loose biscuits (size 20) to join the two plates so they didn't flex across the width. Therefore this included plate is less than full length and has biscuit slots on one end. The plate still in my MFT 1080 is 5mm shorter than stock.
The rails connect easily to the standard table frame and the table becomes soooo much more useful - if you have the space. The first two images show the table in use. The last three show the rails and plate that are for sale. Located in Boulder, CO. I can ship via Fedex Ground and the going rate.
