Festool 491750 Cover Plate For TS 55 Plunge Cut Saw

I was hoping to get the FOG group to give me a good review on the Cover Plate for the TS 55.  Is it worth the 57.00 or is it a waste of money?  I was just wondering if it would provide more dust collection or if not.

Just curious, but what dust collection issue are you experiencing?

I get some dust ejected at the very end of a cut, but that is about all.

I used to put tape over the holes which helps a little but then got the cover which is an improvement on that again.

you do have to remove it for angle cuts, but for me that is not very often so it stays on the rest of the time.
