Festool 496149 Stickfix Sanding Pad, Hard is VERY difficult to install .....

Hi All,
Just picked up the Hard Sanding pad for my RO150. - It is VERY tough getting that bugger on and off.  The pad that came with 150 is super simple to remove and replace.  Anyone else experience this or do I have a bad pad?  Thanks!

I did further searching on this forum and found that I am not alone. I will give it some Break in time and see how it goes.

I just did one today.  They are very hard to put on.

Had the same issue -- I assume you are talking about the difficulty of rotating the pad onto the sander, as opposed to depressing the green button to lock the spindle (which can also be difficult at first).  When I first encountered this problem, I brought it over to the dealer, as I was completely unable to get another pad on.  He didn't have any immediate solutions, but after staring at it for a while, I suggested that maybe we could slightly loosen the hex bolt in the center of the spindle.  After we did this, the pad went on no problem.

Yes, it is. It takes time to settlet down.
