Festool £50 voucher

get a syslite £50 off that's quite a saving. i also hear another voucher scheme soon in the magazines not sure which one .

Dropped a ***** clanger.  [embarassed]
Decided to get another Syslite - using the £50 voucher.
(To be sure, seemed a right silly price with that money off - but who was I to question it?)
Ordered the Syslite from FFX - without checking the price after going through the process (as I thought) of ordering using the voucher.
My confirmation Paypal email came through - and realized I'd paid the 'normal' price.
So it seems the voucher doesn't apply to the Syslite.
Going to phone them after the Easter break, and ask will they please cancel the order.

Obviously my bad.
But think it would help, if they didn't put the voucher option against any items to which the vouchers didn't apply.
From what I could see, the option is against everything Festool - but presumably only 'activated' against tools that qualify for the discount.
Also, whilst looking at different things, noticed the price shown in the basket didn't always match the price shown at the checkout - don't know why.

But...the Midi 240v dust extractor comes up as £171 - with the £50 voucher, and, their additional £10 off for using the voucher.
Impressive.  Might go for that instead, as I'm gradually moving away from 110v tools.

Richard.

Blimey that's a bargain just looked the 110v midi is 231 so 171 after voucher wow I'd almost be tempted to buy one and sell my old one on eBay. Nothing wrong with it but if you can get a shiney new one for that :)

I reckon I know how they're doing it for that price , there's no mention of the FREE cleaning set you're supposed to get with the midi at the moment. I bet they're selling all the free sets to offset the price reduction on the midi.

If anyone orders one ask if you get the free cleaning set.

Hi Joiner.
Well, the Midi 110v comes up as £166 with the discounts  [crying] Just double checked.
All of a sudden the 240v version seems overpriced - lol.
Fortunately I've got the cleaning set, so I'm covered - but makes you wonder doesn't it.
If it works out, I'll sell my 110v Midi - and hopefully make a mint  [big grin]

However, I do wonder what going on price wise.
The vac's seem to dropping in price generally - maybe they know something we don't.
May the HEPA version, like what is standard in North America, will be replacing the ones we get at the moment??

Richard

EDIT @ 17:53 The 110v and 240v are now shown as the same starting price - £231.  Both showing £171 after discounts.
But a few minutes ago, the 240v was showing £166, with 110v showing £171 after discounts.
Don't know if flakey software or what - but very odd.
Richard.

Richard, did u put it through the basket etc ? I was just taking £60 off the £231 price I hadn't actually put it in my basket.

If I had another voucher I would go for it, just watching an old 110v one on eBay that's at £180 lol. I could sell my old one and get a new one for zilch ;D

I only have one voucher sadly and that's going on the new planer when it comes out soon

I spotted the prices on the vacs dropping too, my mate I work with just got one from slingers for £270 but that's with the free cleaning set.

Yea - that's what I've been doing joiner.
Basically following their instructions:
1/ add a Festool machine to your basket
2/ during Checkout add the voucher voucher code FES50 and click 'Redeem Code'

(the price then changes to reflect the discounts)

3/ pay for your order
4/ print off your proof of payment and order, and attach your Festool Voucher then send it to
etc etc

I'm not going to sit here all evening trying it out, but I've now seen both the 110v & 240v vac's (after discounts) @ £166 / £171 at different times
Weird.  If I can be bothered I'll print them off if it happens again.
FWIW I've been cancelling everthing and using CCleaner between each time I check.  Maybe their website is holding some sort of info' that's slightly messing things up - don't really know about these sort of things.

Richard.

I just tried a 110 midi and it come up as £171 as it should . Doubt I will bother getting one unless I can get another voucher.

Dont know why but ffx prices seem to go up and down ' faster than a fiddlers elbow '  [unsure]. Maybe its somethink thats computer generated but hey they are cheap with good service so its a win win situation .

I've bought Makita stuff off them and not had any problems, got an sds and two 18v batteries off them very cheap.

last time the £50 vouchers were around i bought two syslites and saved a hundred on the two , they are classed as tools as they are also powered by mains and or battery , can't see how they are exempt from any promotion unless they are not at full price to start with , well whatever full price is £50 off has to be a good deal.

Thanks for the heads up re CXS, Good handy lightweight drill/driver for the money.

£102 delivered ? couldn't believe it !

Just looked at the link that Joiner1970 put up and it says it can be redeemed at any store that is participating in the promotion.
It also says that the voucher can not be redeemed at any online stores!!!!!

Oh, and by the way Footstool, all my 3 vouchers DO HAVE the name of my local dealer printed on the front!!!!!!!!

Anyhow, if Gordo wants one, he is welcome to one!!!!

Tim.

I have just seen a voucher on ebay and that has H ELLIS & SON printed on it,so I guess festool must have given up on the printed version..

Planning some *major* Festool purchases and understand from the dealer than you can use one voucher per tool, so if anyone has spare vouchers they are not going to use, please PM me.

Kind regards,

Garry

Dragging this thread back up as I have just come across these vouchers in my local Gibbs and dandy. The voucher was stuck on the cover of "professional builder" magazine which is free.

I plan on buying a mft with all the extras after Christmas so will use it then. I am going to my local Axminster store tommmorw and will check that they accept the voucher.

Is this the same one everyone else has used?

Is there anywhere in the Mansfield area I can pick a copy up? I have been eyeing up a domino for a while and £50 off would push me into buying one. There are some on ebay but I don't like the idea of someone profiteering off the back of a free voucher.
Thanks Ian

Anyone else get a £50 off (a £400 spend) voucher in the post today?  Wish it was just £50 off with no minimum of course, but nice none the less.

My £50 Christmas card/seasonal voucher arrived this morning. Puts that dom
ino 500 a little closer [big grin]
