Just received the Festool 577780 Bit Cassette Driver Bit Set it Includes - PH 1 bit; PH 2 bit; PH 3; PZ 1 bit; bit PZ 2; PZ 3 bit; TX 10 bit; TX 15 bit; TX 20 bit; TX 25 bit; TX 30 bit; TX 40 bit. This is what is listed for Festool USA and North America Festool dealer websites.
To my surprise it did not come with the PZ 3 bit; or the TX 10 bit; instead it came with a SQ 1 bit; and a SQ 2 bit;. What a bummer I never use SQ or Roberts screws, for me they just came out too easily.

I'm guessing they include Robertson bits for the entire North America market, where our Canadian brethren use Robertson more than most other parts of the world.  It still blows my mind that they include Pozi-drive anything, since those are pretty rare in North America.  The only Pozi-drive screws I have knowledge of in my house/possession are on my STM-1800.

pozi is not that rare, a lot of cabinets are using them on top of ikea, blum, etc.

i'm surprised by the comment that the square screws come out easily?? they get so stuck here that the bit gets pulled out if the holder is weak. I am usually using the hilti bit holder because it locks in the bit completely just because of Roberts screws being so firmly stuck with the screw

My main issue was to get the bits that I was expecting to get as per product description and photo. Not to be misled buy a product description and photo.

As far as the cam-out I am referring to it has to do with I build a lot of decks and docks and if I have to replace a board on them it seems like the stainless steel Roberts / square bits are always a problem when I have to replace a board. The problem is when I try to remove a stainless steel screw that was in a vertical board it seems like they always came out I'm not sure if it's because of stains or finishes that were applied or debris but I never have this issue with a torx screw.

Of course, some of us use Robertson/square drive exclusively and beat Festool up for years about supplying them. :)  The only time I've had a square drive slip is if the fastener is either defective or poor quality without the taper that's part of the Robertson specification. Otherwise, it's like another poster said...it can be hard to get them out once driven. SQ-2, SQ-1 and T-25 are what I use the most and in that order.

I have the product you describe as it came in an organizer Systainer I recently bought. Even though it might not be an exact match for everyone, it's still a darn nice set of drivers that cover most needs.

I think "rare" is depending on each person's needs/exposure. Since I work in a cabinet shop, I use them every day and the only Phillips we use are with the machine screws for door/drawer pulls
Most of the hardware we use is European (Blum, Grass, Salice, etc) with a little from Sugatsune/Lamp, which is Japanese.
The regular assembly screws we use are #2 Robertson or that stupid combo head that fits #2 Robertson or #2 Phillips. I say stupid because the compromise works against the Phillips, which is already cam-out prone.
If you are having cam-out problems with Robertson, it's likely a quality issue. Either the bits are too big (some continue the taper too far down the tip) or the screws are not stamped well enough.
A couple of seconds with a diamond stone can improve the fit enough to eliminate that.

To be fair though, I have only ever seen #3 Pozi a few times, in many years of work, #2 is by far the most common, with some #1 here and there.
The one I see as strangely missing is T-27. I come across that more than the T-30.
I occasionally use tamper-proof Trox too, usually T-25.

The bit business is very occupation specific, as a commercial glazier and locksmith, I use #3 ph and even #4 (commercial steel frames) very often.  I just ordered a Wera Kraftform #4 PH screwdriver and a couple more #3 ph insert bits from Chadstoolbox.  I use Wera's bit collections and screw drivers and often have to trade #1ph for #3 ph as I use them more often.  The #1ph and #1straight while necessary for lock work, are used infrequently.  It's all a matter of what you actually use.
