Festool 75 question: under power...extension cord ???

Seems like the saw ( 75) can barely cut through a 2" SAPELE . Quick thought was that because I use an extension cord to the festool dust collector which is attatched it is not getting enough power .I am Not an electician , and not even sure if that could be a factor. 
I have tried two new blades
Looking for ideas before I send it back to Festool  ( Out of warranty ...UGH )

Extension cords can limit power.  Have you tried it without the CT?  What is the length and the cable size?  Are cross cutting or ripping?  Blade type?

An extension to the CT is not advised.  If you must then it really needs to be 10ga.

Man I have never felt my 75. Had a lack of power.
Try it w/o the extension cord.

Ive never had a problem with mine either being under powered.

What blade are you using? You may need to get a panther blade (ripping blade).

Again, I'm not an electrician, but I believe I have a relatively good grasp on how the system works.  The maximum sustained current draw on a given circuit is desired at 80% of the rated amperage.  If that current draw is exceeded, heat can develop.  When electrical circuits heat, the resistance increases.  When resistance increases, the voltage drops.  When the voltage drops motors do not work as effectively.

Many people will talk about 15A and 20A and that is fine (if the circuit is wired correctly-15A with 14 ga wire and 20A with 12 ga wire).  If everything is correct to the outlet, then what happens beyond?  If cords are used, the gauge must be equal to or greater than the gauge of the wire in the wall.  Furthermore, the length of run ideally should be a short as possible.  Personally, I don't like to use cords and do so only when I must.

According to the main and supplemental manuals for CTs, extension cords of 14AWG or greater may be used so long as the maximum length of the cord is less than 50'.

Perhaps this will help the OP to figure out the issues with his tool.

It seems to me if there was too much draw on the extension cord it would be getting hot at the plug at the outlet.
