Festool A Friend: Get a 10% rebate when you tell your friends about Festool

No confirmation email is sent. I had the same experience you did Icecactus. TylerC was nice enough to check in on mine and get back to me. I can't see that he would have time to do that for everyone, it would be a huge pain for him. For his own mental health and welfare, next promotion of this sort, Festool should send out an email confirmation. I'm no computer whiz, but it couldn't be that hard to do.

I'm really beginning to think that almost any festool item would work for the rebate. The rebate terms just says "power tool". It's very vague. If I were to have a friend buy like a mft quick clamp and send in the rebate and I get denied, I would seriously consider the rebate to be false advertising. And like you mentioned [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member], a lamp is not necessarily a power tool, but it would still work for the rebate. I don't think Festool's marketing department thought this promotion thru and added these pseudo restrictions after the fact.

I don't speak on Festool's behalf, but a "tool" has historically been defined by Festool as any item with a serial number.

Reference the Festool Service All-Inclusive Warranty language.

"For purposes of this warranty, power tools are defined as any Festool branded product that bears a serial number (S.Nr. or M.Nr.)."

I'm really tempted to ask my friend to buy a MFT quick clamp so I can get 10% back on a track saw, but I really don't want to deal with rebates if I get denied. Can someone from Festool clear this up once and for all?

That's what I get for jumping on the FOG right as I'm leaving the office. I need a nap.

No worries Tyler, that is how I interpreted your post. I'm also sleep deprived, so I know the language pretty well.

Hi, I have 2 friends who have decided to purchase and are new to festool but they cannot get to Lee Valley while they are open, they don't want to buy festool online prefer a brick and mortar.

I live close to LV and purchased for them, I am going to use joe as a friend, joe says he has a friend and so on, my concern is LV put my name on the receipts. will this affect the rebate when we all submit the form?

Thank you

I'll send you a PM. We'll try to make it work.

I have a quick question about the current promotion. If I make more than one purchase this month can I submit rebate receipts for all of them or only one purchase. For example if I buy a tool from my local dealer and another from a online dealer can I submit both receipts for a rebate. Thanks for any info Chris

For everyones information I contacted fest tool direct by phone and the definition of what qualifies is anything that runs on a battery or has a cord.I would think that the dealers on this forum would have this info?

Yes. If you place multiple orders, you can submit all of your receipts to count toward your rebate.

Has there been an update to this program at all? I submitted on 1/26 and haven't heard a thing. Excited about the offer! Hope it completes soon.

I submitted around the same date, and rec'd a rebate check about 2 weeks ago. Minnie at Festool is keeping tabs on that, call Festool and ask for her. She should be able to help you.

More checks are going out this week. We had a lot more submissions than we anticipated, so it's taking some time for us to process all of them. Thanks for your patience on this.
