I picked up my van from the garage this morning and decided to give her a run out, ended up at APTC  ;D
Walked in and there was the local rep with all those toys tools lined up to be played with tried out. [big grin].

I really like the new Kapex stand after seeing it first hand and Barry showed me the set-up, so easy.
I was more interested in the routers as my next purchase is going to be one of them, and it really looks like the OF2200 is
going to be the one. [eek]

Barry was great to talk with and came across as very knowledgeable, [thumbs up] spare him a thought guys as he was working today while his team are playing.
He had to give his ticket to his brother, the team Chelsea! But we won't hold that against him eh!! ;D

Chelsea fans working for Festool  [eek]  :o thats it Im not buying anymore Festool.

Just a bit of reassurance if like I was, you are hesitant about purchasing the OF2200, I got mine about 4 months ago and it is an AMAZING router and the accessory kit is worth its weight in gold.

I use mine for kitchen fitting with solid surface worktops and in the workshop cutting into oak joinery and it is like a surgical instrument even in comparison to good old Makita's.

You will not be disappointed.

Having played with it today and run through the features it really is high on the list. The other important reason is that my custom set of long router bars will fit it too.
I will just have to alter the connector/compass block to the bar spacing. The bars allow me to swing curves of up to 3000mm radius on my old Elu 177e and poor cousin of Dewalt. Hopefully my brother will be able to machine them out for me.
My work ranges from custom geometric stairs to windows, rocking chairs to wardrobes and kitchens.... basically if it's in wood then I do it  ;D The more challenging the better, then to me it's not just work, it's playtime that I get paid for!
Regards Rob.

Just have this one, Olive wood_ made in Crete from timber sourced from our olive groves and a design based on one in a book by Jack Hill.
