Festool BS75E Mounting Sanding Frame Front Socket

Hey everyone,

i just bought a BS 75 E and a FSR 75 Sanding Frame. I am trying to mount the front sanding frame socket, but i am stuck. There is a plate with two holes (acting as nuts) which has a arrow stamped in.

In which direction should the arrow point to? To the sanding frame or to the machines top when standing on the frame? Sorry for the dumb question, but i cant see any hints in the manual.

If you head over to the Euro EKAT (http://ekat.festool.com/ , which is in German), you can search for "FSR", which will take you to a link to the exploded parts diagram for the frame setup.  That might help shed light on the issue?

Can someone advise me on how to buy parts from the diagram above?

I bought a used AEG belt sander and frame and it seems the previous owner sanded down the black nylon engagement nubs (part # 15) to make them easier to slide into place. That allows the frame to wiggle in the mount, which is the opposite of what you want a sanding frame to do.

I’d like to but a dozen of them (for delivery to New York) if anyone knows how I can accomplish that.

Pretty sure the arrow is to be installed pointing up so that when the bracket is seated within the recess in the front of the sander the threaded holes are the right distance from the table surface, so that the bottom of the frame is in the same plane as the sanding platen.

Usually you grab the part number from EKAT, call FestoolUSA, and they can place the order.

I'm not 100% sure in this case because the parts aren't in the USA EKAT.  Still worth a try.

I tried it, no dice. "We can't order parts for tools that aren't sold here." In the US.

Its part number 8 which has no symetrical shape.

I have also contacted the Festool Support to get an official answer (but there was no callback so far). I have mounted this plate yesterday, with the arrow pointing to the frame and it seems that the edges are fitting directly.

I got the info from Festool:

The arrow should point to the handhold and NOT to the grinding surface/frame.

Pointing to the handhold equals pointing up.

If you needed just a few pieces, I would be happy to add to my next month's parts order ... but would probably arrive some time in June only.
